Please be aware that if you are referred to the hospital, waiting times for appointments can be anything up to 18 weeks for a routine appointment and 6-8 weeks for an urgent appointment.
Patients have been contacting the hospital or ourselves to chase appointments well before this deadline and unfortunately we are unable to do anything to expedite appointments.
For more urgent referrals you may be referred on a ‘2 week wait’, for instance suspected cancer referrals. If this is the case, the doctor will discuss with you and you can then expect to be contacted by the hospital within a 2 week window.
