Please be aware that if you are referred to the hospital, we cannot control waiting times for appointments and we may not be able to advise how long you may be waiting. If you wish to chase a referral speak with reception who will assist you.
Patients have been contacting the hospital or ourselves to chase appointments well before this deadline and unfortunately we are unable to do anything to expedite appointments.
For more urgent referrals you may be referred on a ‘2 week wait’, for instance suspected cancer referrals. If this is the case, the doctor will discuss with you and you can then expect to be contacted by the hospital within a 4 week window, If this time has surpassed and you have not been contacted please call the surgery.
