Our telephone lines are open from 8.00 am until 6.30 pm. We close from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month for staff training.
We realise it can be very frustrating for patients trying to get through on the phone but there are a number of things patients can do to help alleviate the pressure put on our telephone system:
Please do not ring with routine enquiries first thing in the morning. This includes asking for test results, chasing referral information etc. It helps if you can leave this until later in the morning or later in the afternoon when the lines may be quieter.
Please make your call as brief as possible – this will stop the lines being blocked to other callers.
