Following the recent outbreaks of meningococcal group B disease, a one-off vaccination programme delivered through community pharmacies will be implemented from 20th July 2026 to protect those at highest risk.
Young people born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008 and those under the age of 25 entering higher or residential further education for the first time, will be offered two doses of MenB to protect them before the start of the Autumn term, when rates are usually at their highest.
